In terms of mold design:
1. Parting surface and cavity design
Parting surface selection: It is necessary to ensure the integrity of the appearance of the plastic part, and give priority to flat parting surfaces to reduce flash. Complex structures such as car audio panels can use stepped parting surfaces.
Cavity layout: The audio shell mostly adopts a 1-out-1 cavity layout, taking into account production efficiency and mold complexity. Two-color molds require dual cavities with a rotating mechanism.
2. Optimization of the pouring system
Gate type: Fine gate to latent gate can avoid surface marks, suitable for ABS front shell (gate diameter 0.8-1.2mm).
Hot runner application: Liudao hot runner system is recommended for high-precision Bluetooth audio shell to reduce melt waste and improve injection efficiency.
3. Slider and core pulling mechanism
Lateral core pulling: Large-size sliders need to be designed with a backhoe structure (shovel machine inlay type), and the car audio panel is mostly driven by an inclined guide column, and the stroke accuracy needs to be controlled within ±0.02mm.
Front mold slider: The bent pin drive structure is suitable for the tail structure of the audio with an undercut depth of ≤3mm, and the mold opening angle is recommended to be 15°-25°.
In terms of molds, Audios mainly uses plastic shells. The plastic shell part can choose 45#, p20, 718, 718H, S316, and H13 to make molds. Choose according to the customer's requirements for product life. We are experienced in this area. Some Audios have screens, which need to be made of optical materials. The requirements for molds are also different. The mold material must be at least S136 grade to be perfectly made. We have made hundreds of lenses with different requirements to meet customer requirements. If you have special mold requirements, we can also do it. We generally use cold runner systems because they are cheaper. If customers want hot runner systems, we can also do it, but the costs of hot runners and cold runners are completely different. We will do it according to customer requirements.
1. Mold core processing:
1). Rough machining allowance 0.3-0.5mm, fine machining using ≤φ6mm carbide tools, step distance does not exceed 30% of the tool diameter.
2). The curved surface uses a five-axis linkage machining center, and the surface roughness is controlled below Ra0.8.
2. Cooling system construction:
1). Adopt conformal water channel design, keep a distance of 12-15mm from the cavity surface, and the water flow rate ≥2m/s to ensure heat exchange efficiency.
2). Intercooler pipes are integrated in key parts (such as round wall forming columns), and the temperature difference is controlled within ±2℃.
3. Surface treatment:
1). Mirror polishing process: polish from #400 sandpaper to #3000 step by step, and finally polish with diamond paste.
2). Nitriding treatment: The surface hardness can reach HV1000, which is suitable for wear-resistant parts such as POM gears.

A: Mold Payment: 40% deposit by T/T in advance, 30% second mold payment before sending out the first trial samples, 30% mold balance after you agree the final samples.
