In terms of materials, for plastic parts, because DVD products need to contact electricity, most of the material shells are made of PP/ABS materials, and the internal parts are made of V0 grade flame retardant ABS materials. As long as the material you want, we can provide it. We have a variety of raw material suppliers, and any brand and model of raw materials can be provided. As long as the customer provides the purpose of the product, we can choose the most suitable material according to the purpose of the product. Even modified plastic materials/special plastic materials, we can provide them.

In the design of DVD, we have sufficient surface design experience and professional designers. We understand the design structure of DVD and know what kind of surface design/structural design can make users use DVD more comfortable and convenient. .


In the design of DVD molds:

1. One mold and one cavity layout: DVD molds usually adopt a single cavity design to ensure product accuracy and surface quality and reduce the coordination error of multi-cavity molds

2. Parting surface selection: Planar parting surfaces are preferred. Combined with the structural characteristics of the DVD shell, the demoulding requirements of complex parts such as button holes and buckle positions need to be considered

3. Side gate feeding: The side gate design is adopted, and the gate size is usually 1.2-1.5mm to avoid obvious welding marks on the DVD surface

4. Hot runner application: High-precision molds are recommended to use open hot runners to reduce material waste and improve injection molding efficiency (this can be selected according to customer requirements)

5. Inclined guide column slider system: used to process the buckle structure on the side of the DVD shell, the slider stroke needs to be 2-3mm larger than the undercut depth, and the guide column angle is recommended to be 18°-22°.

6. Front mold inclined ejector mechanism: For the inner wall undercut, a nitrided SKD61 inclined ejector rod is used, and the hardness must reach HRC52 or above.


In terms of molds, DVDs mainly use plastic shells. For the plastic shell part, you can choose 45#, p20, 718, 718H, S316, and H13 to make molds. Choose according to the customer's requirements for product life. We are experienced in this area. Some DVDs have screens, which need to be made of optical materials, and the requirements for molds are also different. The mold material must be at least S136 grade to be perfectly made. We have made hundreds of lenses with different requirements to meet customer requirements. If you have special mold requirements, we can also do it. We generally use cold runner systems because they are cheaper. If the customer wants a hot runner system, we can also do it, but the cost of hot runners and cold runners is completely different. We will do it according to customer requirements.

DVD mold processing process:

1. CNC roughing

Use φ20mm tungsten steel milling cutter for roughing, leave a margin of 0.3mm, spindle speed 8000rpm, feed speed 2000mm/min.

2. EDM

Graphite electrodes are used for complex texture parts, with a discharge gap of 0.05mm and a surface roughness of Ra≤0.8μm.

3. Deep hole drilling cooling system

The conformal water channel is 12-15mm away from the cavity surface, with a hole diameter of φ8mm, and a double helix water channel design is used to improve cooling efficiency.

A: Mold Payment: 40% deposit by T/T in advance, 30% second mold payment before sending out the first trial samples, 30% mold balance after you agree the final samples.

B:Production Payment: 50% deposit in advance, 50% before sending out the final goods.
