For TV products, we mainly make corresponding plastic parts, such as TV shells and internal plastic parts, which are all produced through injection molds.

1.TV mold production process

1. Product analysis and design confirmation

1) Survey and map the TV shell 3D drawings or samples provided by the customer, and analyze the structural features (such as thin walls, button holes, heat dissipation ports, etc.).

2) Design the mold shape, including the parting surface, pouring system (main channel, branch channel, gate), cooling system (water cooling pipe layout) and demolding mechanism (ejector or patented demolding structure).

3) Confirm the design plan with the customer, including the number of cavities (usually 1 cavity or 2 cavities), mold frame selection (DME standard), etc..


2.Material procurement and rough processing

1) Selection of mold steel: P20 and 718H are commonly used for cavity/core, and 45# steel is pre-hardened (HRC28-32) is used for mold frame. 

2) Rough processing includes dynamic and fixed mold wire cutting, CNC milling, and milling machine processing to initially form the mold contour. 


3.Finishing and surface treatment

1). Use medium wire and slow wire to complete precision parts cutting, EDM complex curved surfaces, and high-speed milling to improve surface finish.

2). Nitriding treatment improves surface hardness (HV850 or above), reduces deformation, and extends mold life.


4. Assembly and debugging

1) Install the guide mechanism (edge lock, positioning rod) after mold closing, and test the ejection system (ejector rod or patented arc-shaped protrusion demolding structure).

2) Mold verification: adjust injection molding parameters (temperature 180-200°C, pressure matching ABS fluidity), optimize cooling efficiency (water cooling + fan heat dissipation).


2. Core design points

1. Parting surface and pouring system

1). The parting surface needs to avoid the appearance surface, and planes or simple curved surfaces are preferred to reduce flash.

2). The gate uses a point gate or a latent gate to avoid weld marks affecting the shell strength.


2. Cooling system optimization:

The layout of the water cooling pipe follows the principle of "conformal cooling" to ensure uniform heat dissipation of the TV housing and shorten the molding cycle (the patented water cooling + air cooling solution can improve efficiency by 30%). 3. Innovation of demoulding mechanism:

The arc-shaped convex structure is used to reduce the contact area, realize ejector-free demoulding, and reduce the complexity of the mold.


3. Materials and cycles

Common materials

Plastic parts: ABS (high impact strength, easy to mold).

Mold steel: 718, NAK80 (long life, suitable for complex structures); S136 (high gloss surface requirements).

Production cycle:

Simple shell: 20-30 days; complex models (such as curved heat dissipation grilles): 45-60 days.


4.Precautions

1. Inspection before mold trial: Confirm that the cavity is free of impurities, the gate is unobstructed, and the cooling system is well sealed8.

2. Cost control: Hot runner technology is used to reduce waste during mass production, but the initial cost increases by 15-20%3.

3. Maintenance: Nitriding repair every 100,000 molds, and regular cleaning of cooling water channel scale


In terms of materials, for plastic parts, because TV products need to be very safe, plastic parts use V0 flame-retardant ABS material. As long as you want the material, we can provide it. We have a variety of raw material suppliers, and any brand and model of raw materials can be provided. As long as the customer provides the purpose of the product, we can choose the most suitable material according to the purpose of the product. Even modified plastic materials/special plastic materials, we can provide them.

In terms of molds, the TV mainly uses plastic shells, and the plastic shell part can choose 45#, p20, 718, 718H, S316, H13 to make molds. Choose according to the customer's requirements for product life. We are experienced in this regard.

For mold runner system: We generally use cold runner system because it is cheaper. If the customer wants a hot runner system, we can also do it, but the cost of hot runner and cold runner is completely different. We will do it according to the customer's requirements.

A: Mold Payment: 40% deposit by T/T in advance, 30% second mold payment before sending out the first trial samples, 30% mold balance after you agree the final samples.

B:Production Payment: 50% deposit in advance, 50% before sending out the final goods.
